Our client is a rapidly expanding player in the FMCG marketplace, both here in the UK and overseas.

They are renowned for some of the best in-class products the market has to offer and have exiting growth plans for the next few years.

As a result of a recent change in national strategy to maximise potential business they are now looking for an Accountant, based from their Manchester Head Office.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Handling of daily bookkeeping
• Responsible for accounts receivables / accounts payables
• Ensure a timely month end closing using the local accounting system (SAP B1)
• Maintain cash and bank journal, prepare monthly bank reconciliation, monitor payment terms and cash forecast
• Stock management
• Communicate with the local tax consultant / accounting firm / auditors
• Handle tax related issues and reports. Ensure all the requirements from local tax authority are filled completely

From an experience perspective, you will be:

• Highly independent, reliable and confident to take on financial responsibility
• Proficiency in accounting and stock management
• Good Microsoft excel skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Critical thinking, proactive and problem-solving oriented mind-set
• Work experience in an international company is a plus
