Key Account Manager - Rare Diseases - North East/North West England | Scotland | Northern Ireland

Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company whose substantial reinvestment into R&D is creating products at both early and late stage development. With a focus on core business areas of oncology, nephrology, and immunology/allergy, they discover and develop innovative new drugs aiming to become a global specialty pharmaceutical company which contributes to the health and well-being of people around the world.

They are now looking for outstanding commercial Account Managers with a passion for rare diseases to join this ground-breaking company during the pre-launch phase of their ground-breaking new therapy.


*Build/maintain excellent relationships with relevant stakeholders and appropriately fulfil their requests for information and/or expertise
*Function as the main contact person and project leader for all aspects related to supporting product pathway at treatment centres, Centres of Excellence and referral centres
*Communicate the benefits of therapy to target audiences (Dermatologists, Haematologists and Oncologists and collaborate with colleagues to achieve UK commercial goals
*Support key centres in establishing and developing their referral network
*Support information and education towards early diagnosis/referral

Experience required:

*Extensive in field-based key account positions in specialist disease areas
*Launch experience with specialist disease indications and academic hospitals required
*Track record of success in specialized service environments including hospital organizations and financial structures, patient flows to centres of excellence etc
*Experience with managing large accounts including strategic planning, project management, problem solving and execution
