Strategic Access Head - Dermatology - UK & ROI

As Strategic Access Head, your mission will be to drive forward development and implementation of the market access, pricing, reimbursement strategy for the UK and Ireland's innovative prescription products. As such you will motivate and lead a cross-functional, matrix team responsible for the development of strategies and tactics that deliver payer-oriented value for their innovative products, ensuring access, funding and uptake current strategic and future products and services across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead Market Access activity by providing strategic and operational leadership to achieve timely patient access for the innovative products in the UK and Ireland
  • Lead development and execution National and regional Pricing and Access Strategies
  • Drive Commissioning
  • Engage with NICE and relevant NHS bodies as the main point of contact
  • Engage with NHS budget holders and policy decision-makers to provide advanced planning notification for prospective new products or new product indications
  • Engage effectively with NHS budget holders and policy decision-makers providing Budget Impact
  • Modelling, Value Story and Value Proposition
  • Lead Early Access to Medicines Schemes (EAMS) with the MHRA
  • Lead HTA submissions to NICE / SMC / AWMSG / HSE
  • Drive coverage NICE / SMC / AWMSG / HSE guidelines
  • Partners with commercial, medical and regulatory teams on local, regional and global levels to shape National value propositions
  • Align with Global teams responsible for Product, Reimbursement, Price strategy and HEOR
  • Engage and manage 3rd party providers involved in the design and development of market access solutions (e.g. Early Access Program)

Candidate requirements:

  • Extensive Market Access leadership experience within the pharma industry
  • Proven success in creating and executing Market Access/Payer Strategies in the UK
  • Demonstrated successes across UK HTA / National Access engagements
  • Experience of developing HTA submissions to deliver positive HTA decisions for biologics products
  • Experience in successful Early Access Program in UK
  • Deep understanding of HEOR (Health economics and Outcomes research) function in reimbursement process in UK
  • Evidence of team working and sense of accountability
  • Experience of effectively managing internal cross-functional stakeholders and external key partners
