Territory Business Manager - Immunology - South West England
Our client is a biotechnology company developing innovative medicines intended to improve people's lives.
They discover and develop new medicines in order to offer new and better treatment options to patients affected by inflammatory diseases, cystic fibrosis, metabolic diseases, fibrosis, and other diseases. They are relentless in their drive to search for medicines with new modes of action, which address the disease itself rather than just treating the symptoms.
The Account Manager is at the heart of the business, prioritising accounts and how they develop partnerships with key stakeholders. The role will manage both RA and IBD therapy areas, in addition taking on market access activities at the trust level.
The position will have a broad scope of activities, requiring the successful individual to be able to prioritise effectively, influence without authority and possess a strong commercial mindset.
The role will have a strong project management aspect, coordinating and leading the design and delivery of cohesive local business plans and harnessing the full power of the cross-functional team. This will include building the account level customer target list by bringing together insights and their own awareness of the territory.
The Account Manager will also work alongside the Regional Business and Partnership Manager (RBPM) and the Marketing Engagement Manager (MEM), identifying all of the promotional channels available (digital, face to face, virtual engagement, congress, training etc.) and with the medical teams to deliver highly impactful customer interactions with a range of clinical and payor customers.
Education & experience:
- Experienced and successful Key Account Manager from within the UK Pharmaceutical industry
- Formulary and market access knowledge advantageous
- High cost/specialist product knowledge
- Good experience interacting with a variety of payor and clinical stakeholders
- NHS environmental knowledge
