Commercial Director

We are working with a well-funded, high-growth technology company operating at the intersection of data, healthcare and advanced analytics. The business is entering a critical phase of commercial scale following early customer traction and is now looking to appoint a Commercial Director to lead revenue growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a company addressing one of the most significant challenges in healthcare today: enabling better use of complex, large-scale data to improve research, decision-making and outcomes.

The role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Commercial Director will take ownership of the go-to-market strategy and lead business development activity across the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for originating and closing high-value enterprise deals, building strategic relationships and shaping the commercial function as the business scales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and executing the commercial strategy
  • Building and converting a high-quality pipeline
  • Leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes
  • Representing the business externally with senior stakeholders
  • Supporting the evolution of the commercial model and offering
  • Building and leading a commercial team over time

Candidate profile

We are looking for an experienced commercial leader with a strong track record of selling complex data or technology solutions into healthcare and/or life sciences.

You will likely bring:

  • Extensive experience in enterprise sales or commercial leadership
  • Proven ability to originate and close high-value deals
  • Experience selling into pharmaceutical, healthcare or research organisations
  • Strong network across relevant stakeholders
  • Credibility operating at senior levels in complex environments
  • A highly driven, resilient and hands-on approach

This is a high-impact role suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with a strong execution mindset and is motivated by building something meaningful at scale.
