Healthcare Partnership Manager - Speciality Medicines - Scotland & NI

Our client is on an exciting growth journey with more than 700 employees being fully committed to caring for people's health as a trusted partner.

As Healthcare Partnership Manager, you will ensure patients across Scotland and Northern Ireland gain rapid access to their innovative therapies. You will shape local treatment pathways and support service development so patients receive the right treatment at the right time. This is a highly autonomous, field-based role where you'll help shape care pathways while working in an agile, growing Specialty business that offers strong opportunities for development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for priority hospitals and Health Boards.
  • Build strong partnerships with consultants, specialist nurses, pharmacists, MDTs, service managers and procurement leads.
  • Work with NHS stakeholders on market access, guidelines, formularies and pathway design to secure and sustain appropriate use of their medicines.
  • Identify and remove barriers to usage, and support initiatives such as pathway redesign, referral optimisation and shared-care protocols.
  • Analyse data (sales, usage, epidemiology, funding flows) to focus activity and track KPIs, feeding insights into brand strategy and planning.

Candidate background:

  • Proven success in secondary care / hospital sales or key account management in pharma/biotech, selling innovative medicines.
  • Experience managing complex hospital accounts and multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within NHS Scotland and/or Northern Ireland.
  • Track record of launching or growing specialist/rare disease or other complex therapy area products, exceeding targets.
  • ABPI qualification.
  • Strong understanding of NHS structures, decision-making and funding in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in relevant specialist therapy areas (e.g. neurology, movement disorders, renal medicine, rare disease).
  • Background in market access, pathway redesign or service development.

A highly competitive basic salary, bonus (with accelerators) and comprehensive benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.

Chase recruitment review

"I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Chase and Victoria Henderson. Victoria was very knowledgeable and her insight into each of the interview stages was invaluable. She regularly checked in with me and gave me reassurance when I was preparing for my interviews. I would recommend both Chase and Victoria as first stop for anyone looking for their next role."

Will always use CHASE for all my job searches.

"I have landed two contracts with CHASE in the last 6/7 years. Kelly has been instrumental in linking me in with jobs that are perfect for me. I have had support for my interviews too. Paul managed me for around 5 years. He is kind and supportive."
