With a strong heritage in chronic disease innovation, our client is investing significantly in its UK private market business and is now seeking a Business Account Manager - Private Market to drive growth across this priority area.

The Opportunity

This is a promotional role accountable for securing sales, developing new accounts and support existing accounts, both national and regional, in line with agreed business plans.
Additionally, this role is responsible for the education of providers to improve access to high quality and good value weight management services that will improve outcomes for patients living with obesity and its associated markets of CVD and other emerging markets.

You will lead growth across a portfolio of strategic accounts, identifying opportunities to increase market share, revenue and long-term value.

Key partners include national and regional pharmacy groups and private providers.

This is not a traditional sales role. It requires someone who can operate with credibility across commercial environments - leading negotiations, shaping partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders.

You will need the gravitas to engage at senior level with business owners, with a clear understanding of partnership economics, value creation and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short- and medium-term business plans for assigned national and regional accounts to achieve sales target and drive business growth.
  • Negotiate national partnership agreements.
  • On-going effective management of assigned accounts (pharmacy chains, online providers, distributers, etc)
  • Successfully utilise a range of resources, materials & data to articulate the value of portfolio and account solutions.
  • Responsible for growing the private market through the development of obesity/CVD services, primarily through National and Regional providers, private hospitals, private clinics, and on-line services ensuring treatment pathways and outcomes are understood.

About You

  • ABPI qualified (essential)
  • Proven success in senior account management or commercial roles within pharma/healthcare
  • Experience managing complex national or enterprise accounts
  • Exposure to private / self-pay healthcare environments advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and analytical capability
  • Ability to engage both commercial stakeholders and healthcare professionals
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix environment
  • Gravitas, credibility and strong stakeholder influence
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with pace and resilience
