Our client is an ambitious and growing pharmaceutical company with an established UK presence and significant plans for continued growth.

The business has expanded considerably over the last two years and operates with a lean, collaborative structure. This gives people broad responsibility, strong visibility and the opportunity to make a tangible commercial contribution.

The Opportunity

The company requires an experienced Interim Brand Manager to take immediate ownership of a strategically important UK respiratory portfolio.

The portfolio includes an established lead brand with further growth potential, an important sustainability agenda and new assets in development. This is a highly visible assignment for someone who can quickly understand the portfolio, establish priorities and maintain momentum while the business completes its permanent recruitment process.

The Role

Working closely with the Associate Director of Marketing, Business Unit Director and cross-functional colleagues, the Interim Brand Manager will:

• Take immediate ownership of operational and tactical delivery across the respiratory portfolio
• Maintain momentum against existing brand plans and business priorities
• Manage multiple marketing projects, agencies, suppliers and budgets
• Use market insight and performance data to guide activity and measure impact
• Develop and deliver customer-centred initiatives in partnership with Medical colleagues
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Medical and other business functions
• Maintain a strong understanding of the NHS, payer environment and respiratory market
• Bring structure, pace and sound commercial judgement to the portfolio

The Right Person

This assignment requires an experienced pharmaceutical Brand Manager who is available to start immediately and can become effective with minimal onboarding.

You will ideally bring:

• Recent UK pharmaceutical brand-management experience
• A track record of taking ownership of established brands or portfolios
• Experience delivering operational brand plans at pace
• Strong commercial judgement and prioritisation skills
• Experience managing marketing projects, agencies and budgets
• Strong cross-functional and stakeholder-management skills
• Good knowledge of the NHS environment and ABPI Code
• The confidence and resilience to operate autonomously within a lean, fast-moving organisation

Respiratory or branded-generics experience would be particularly valuable, although strong transferable UK pharmaceutical marketing experience will also be considered.
