Our client is a global, broad based healthcare company devoted to discovering new medicines, new technologies and new ways to manage health. They have a broad portfolio of products which includes highly regarded products for the Medical aesthetics sector.

They currently have a new opportunity for a talented Medical Affairs Director to work with them across the UK. 

In this business critical role, you will lead Medical Affairs as the third strategic pillar of the affiliate, driving scientific leadership, scientific insights, evidence generation and organisational capability building to accelerate affiliate development, strengthen customer trust and enhance the clients external scientific reputation.

The role acts as a strategic partner to the Country Manager, Commercial Director and Marketing Director, ensuring scientific perspectives shape affiliate strategy and decision making.

Key tasks include:

•             Able to see 3.5 years ahead, anticipate market shifts, and connect science with business strategy.
•             Understands P&L drivers, market access dynamics, brand strategy, and commercial execution
•             Must be able to influence Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams, as well as regional and global functions. Must also be able to influence external experts without formal authority.
•             Must be able to understand HCP needs, training needs, treatment trends, and practice economics
•             Must be able to challenge conventional thinking, identify new opportunities, develop new engagement models, leverage digital channels, and maintain executive communication.
•             Confident in presenting to the CLT, present to Global, influence senior stakeholders and simplifying complex science

About you:

•    Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent)
•    Final Signatory
•    Significant Medical Affairs experience in Aesthetics / Pharma / MedTech 
•    Experience managing cross-functional projects
•    Experience engaging KOLs
•    Experience leading medical strategy
•    Evidence generation experience
•    Medical education experience
•    People leadership experience
